First Capital EMS

As of midnight 1/1/2022, West York Ambulance, Grantley EMS and York Regional EMS have formally merged their services into First Capital Community Transport Partners. Combined, these 3 organizations have provided more than 175 years of professional and progressive Emergency Medical Services to the community.

For almost 8 years, Board members and Operational Staff have been meeting and planning the formation of First Capital. The FCCTP corporation has been in operation for more than a year already. Under the dba First Capital EMS, the corporate structure has been designed and now the individual organizations have moved under the corporate umbrella.

Now combined, First Capital EMS anticipates 12,000 calls for emergency service and another 10,000 scheduled medical transports under contractual agreement with WellSpan Health, annually. 

First Capital EMS maintains a current staff of 150 career and volunteer EMTs and Paramedics. We continue to seek out qualified new and experienced field providers to expand our growing Basic and Advanced Life Support services to area communities and the York healthcare market.
